Gaza Missile Strikes Israeli School Bus

An anti-tank missile fired from Gaza City hit the back half of an Israeli school bus travelling on the main road linking Gaza periphery villages. The bus was near Kibbutz Sa'ad in the Sha'ar Hanegev region when it was hit.
A 16-year-old boy was critically wounded when the warhead exploded, and another 13-year-old was also wounded.
Given the direct targeting of a school bus by an anti-tank weapon, the attack is being viewed as an escalation of an already deteriorating security situation in the south.
Considering the destruction sustained by the bus, officials are saying that it was very lucky that the bus carried only a few children at the time it was hit and that the missile struck the almost-empty back half of the vehicle.
The IDF has launched an immediate response, targeting the Sajaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, from where the anti-tank missile was launched.
Also  today, a house in the Eshkol region was struck by a rocket fired from Gaza. No injuries were reported, but the house sustained damage.
